Download iFunny GIFs the easy way
The thing iFunny calls a GIF is almost never a .gif file. Like most modern platforms it stores looping clips as silent MP4 — far smaller than real GIF and far smoother — and only shows a GIF badge in the interface. So what saves from an ifunny.co/gif/… link is an MP4 that loops.
That matters if you plan to reuse it. An MP4 drops straight into video editors, Discord and most chat apps; a true .gif is what you need for old forums, email signatures and some sticker packs. If you need the real thing, convert the MP4 afterwards — starting from the MP4 gives a cleaner result than any re-rip.
iFunny links that work here
- A video post: ifunny.co/video/…
- A picture or meme page: ifunny.co/picture/…
- A GIF post: ifunny.co/gif/… (iFunny stores these as short MP4 clips)
- Share links copied from the iFunny app — they resolve to one of the above
What can't be downloaded from iFunny
- A genuine .gif container — iFunny does not keep one, so nothing can hand you the original
- Audio, for the same reason: the stored clip has no audio stream
- Animated stickers and reactions that live only in the app's comment layer
What quality you get from iFunny
A silent H.264 MP4, typically a few hundred kilobytes where the same animation as a real GIF would run to several megabytes. Frame rate is whatever survived iFunny's conversion, usually 15–30fps, and there is no audio stream in the container at all — that is a property of the format, not a fault of the download.
Why iFunny GIFs download as MP4
iFunny stores most GIFs as short MP4 clips because they're smaller and play more smoothly. hhhdownload gives you that MP4 — it loops and plays anywhere a normal video does, and you can convert it to a true .gif later if you need one.
If a download doesn't work
The usual reasons an iFunny link fails: the post was deleted, it's visible only inside the app, or the link got mangled in copying — check that it opens in a normal browser tab first.
If a public GIF still fails, iFunny may have changed how its pages work — tell us through the contact page and we'll get it working again. That's on us, not you.
Frequently asked questions
Is the iFunny downloader free?
Yes. Every download on hhhdownload is free, and there's no limit on how many GIFs you can save.
Do I need an account or the iFunny app?
No. This page runs on its own in your browser — you never sign in to iFunny here, and there's no app or extension to install.
Where does the file save to?
On a computer it goes to your Downloads folder. On a phone, check your Downloads or Files app (on iPhone, look in Files › Downloads).
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. The same page works in Safari, Chrome and every modern mobile browser.
Can you download private GIFs from iFunny?
No. If a post needs the app or a login to view, it has no public page to read — we only fetch what ifunny.co shows a logged-out visitor.
Can I turn the MP4 back into a .gif?
Yes — any free converter can do that. But most places you'd share it (WhatsApp, Discord, Telegram) play the MP4 loop natively, and it looks better at a tenth of the file size.
