SoundCloud is where a lot of music exists only as a SoundCloud upload — remixes, DJ sets, demos, bootlegs that were never released anywhere else. That's the case this page is really for: tracks with no other copy to find.
What quality you get from SoundCloud
The 128 kbps MP3 stream, passed through without a second encode. If the artist has enabled SoundCloud's Download button on that track, use it — that route gives their uploaded master, which can be WAV or high-bitrate MP3 and is a genuinely better file than the stream.

SoundCloud is built for streaming, so a song you loved can disappear from your feed when the artist takes it down or moves it behind Go+. Keeping your own copy is the only way to still have it next year.

What the download does not change

If a download doesn't work
SoundCloud fails are usually a Go+ preview-only track, a private upload, or an artist who turned streaming off for that song — the error message says which one it was.

How do I copy a song link on my phone?
Open the song in the SoundCloud app, tap the three dots, choose Share, then Copy link. Paste that here — the short link it gives you works fine.
What is the downloaded file named?
After the song, not a random string. A track called Flickermood saves as hhhdownload-soundcloud-Flickermood.mp3, so a batch of downloads stays sortable.
Why did one song fail when others worked?
Usually it's a Go+ track (preview only) or the artist has switched off streaming for it. Both are SoundCloud settings we can't work around, and you'll see which one it was.
Can I download a whole artist page at once?
No, and that's deliberate. hhhdownload takes one public link at a time — a track, a playlist or an album. It doesn't archive whole profiles.
